remix desu is a marketplace for purchasing pre-separated music stems and remixing them. By uploading a song, you affirm that you have the legal right to share its stems with other users and that you grant those users the right to remix the work under the licensing terms below.

1. Rights you must hold

You may only upload stems for which you (a) hold the copyright, or (b) have explicit permission from all rights holders to share. By uploading, you take full responsibility for any infringement claims that arise from the content you provide.

2. Remix-license grant

By uploading a song to remix desu, you grant any subsequent purchaser of your song a non-exclusive, worldwide license to remix the stems, distribute their remixes through this platform, and collect revenue from those remixes. The platform mediates a flat per-ancestor royalty (currently 5%) flowing back to you on each derivative sale.

3. Royalties and revenue

You set the price for your own song. Each downstream remix sale generates a fixed royalty paid back through the chain of contributors (see royalty rate above). The platform takes a fee from each transaction; you receive the residual.

4. Removing your song

You may remove your song from the platform at any time. Removal deletes the stems from storage and the catalog entry. Royalty obligations on already-completed sales are unaffected.
